A student visa is required if you plan to study at a Russian educational institution or attend short-term training programs/courses in Russia.
To obtain a visa, an invitation from the Federal Migration Service of Russia (FMS) is required. The invitation is issued at the request of the educational institution.
The passport must be valid for at least 1.5 years after the visa expires.
There are the following types of student invitations/visas:
* with a single entry (stay up to 90 days);
* with double entry (stay up to 90 days in total);
* for multiple entries (stay 1 year).
